CNY is coming soon. I am always longing for spending my CNY at hometown as i can meet so many people and the atmosphere is always different. However, started from last year, i always get bad news for my CNY.
Last year, on December, i get the news that my father had an work injury where his muscle was torn on the shoulder part. Another was my grandmother fell down and had a fracture on her thigh. Both of them was admitted to the same hospital. Its quite ridiculous as, few months later, i admitted to the same hospital as well. The same dr treated my family for 3 generation. He earned about 80k from LOH's family members. (SOB)
Now no more past tense, we talk about present tense. Last week my mom told me that my uncle had an work injury at somewhere around Africa. He was injured for long time but keep it untold as he dun wan the family members to worry about him esp his wife. The day before he was sent back to Malaysia, he only told us about his wound. I can imagine what a pity exp for getting hurt at overseas but no family members around. The day he reached Msia, he still depending on wheelchair. Why must it happen before CNY?
The second thing is, my another uncle (i hv 6 uncles)just done a surgery on his eyes. I dont know what it calls, something like cornea??? (割眼膜). I know this because initially i intend to call this uncle to fetch me back from airport but now he cant drive.
The funny thing is, both the patients are in my house at my hometown. My house not only the base for my family but as a recovery centre as well. Previously, my grandma stayed at KL and she shifted back to my house as she getting older and she needs people to take care of her. My mom, daughter-in-law took the responsibilities. Although one of my uncle has a wife, but she is a working group. She is not free to take care of him. Since my mom is a part time house wife, relatives sent them back to her. Besides, my hometown is definitely a more convenient place for everything.
And now the third thing is..... What? No more!!!!! I dont want anymore..... Thats enough!!!! Im anticipating to decorate my own house like previous year. (ref: click here) However, the two workman, one is my father, another is with the surgery. My dad had done operation on his hand and he cant able to do such things ady. At most normal decoration. For installing all the lights, another workman cant see things now. So it left only me. My mom forbidding me to do so but i do hope to continue the trend we have. In my mind, there is just one worry, that is no people going to uninstall all those stuffs. My dad is going to work soon.... So ?????? Haihz!!!!!!!!!!!!

Acknowledgement
During my 'dark age' which lasted for 7days, i cant recall how i went through it. I feel so boring, helpless and speechless as well. Somebody said that im too dependent on the pc and internet. I should find something more beneficial besides this. Well, i admit that i fully dependent on my pc, but which students are not so? And thats why i quite impressed by those students living in the hostel without a laptop. They are god to me!!!
I dont know izit the arrangement from god or Mr Z, i brought a book with the title:
'The 7 habits of highly effective teenagers'.
It was one of the module during the PruYoung session. The title tells all and can without much explanation from me. I thought i would hardly pick up this book to read from the beginning. The speaker of the module said that:
"When you go back this weekend, do read the book. If you cant make it, read it next week. If you are really so busy, at least read it next year."
I just nodded my head. Miracles happened. I started off few pages during my flight back to Sabah. The rest i finished in just few days time. That was the time where i without my pc and while im formatting my pc. I just kept on reading and i finished! For those who really knows me, thats an unbelievable thing for me. Haha!! Hence, my first acknowledgment is to Sean Covey, the author of the book. :)
How about other times? My housemates played their role. The first night, they accompanied me in playing 'billionnaire'. After the game was finished, we use the fake notes to play 'chor dai di'. Thats the end of the day. The following days, of course 'chor dai di' was inclusive, we did went out for grocery shopping, cooking, chatting and so on. They even gave me their magazines for me to read at night, the time when they need privacy perhaps. (Im too annoying like a fly around)
Many many thanks to those who did keep my mind from idle. Thanks.........

失去才会懂得珍惜
失去才会懂得珍惜,what a nice phrase!!! But its true. Damn true!!!!
I understand every word, even the combination of each words.
失去= lost something
才= only
会 = will
懂得 = know
珍惜 = appreciate
Even though i know all of the words, so how? Just like the theory tat you learned during your lectures, u understand, so? We need to have the practical!! 'Hands -on-experience is the key point to learn.
Frequency of seeing this phrase is uncountable. Girls will post it on relationship between boys and girls. Boys sometimes will post it as loss of friendship. For me, i post it now for memories.
The photos in my pc i really seldom view it often. Till the moment now, i lost all, i treasure it. I would like to sacrifice other things, energy, financial whatever just to get all those things back. But can I?

Certified
I called on friday evening time, with my log in number, my name to check the status of my laptop in the 'new house'. They hold the call for around 4 minutes, having me wait like an idiot walking around worrying my 'son'.
They passed the phone to few and finally the last technician that replied me was:
"Mr Loh, we cant find the pc that with the login number that you provided. We did get the record but it is not here."
"HUh??? So how now? When i can get my pc back? I need it urgently."
"Well, Mr Loh, i will be checking it outside the store. I will give you a call asap."
After half an hour.................
"Mr Loh, we found your pc ady."
"Ok, so how now? Izit ready to be collected? I really need it very very much. "
"Erm, we haven work on it, but since you need it immediately, i will treat it as an urgent case."
(In my mind, im scolding the idiot for saying so. I sent in on tuesday and is your fault that haven work on it, now u say treat it as urgent? WTF!!!!)
A day later (today- 12/1/08)...................
I did call them again just to push them although i know it might be in less success rate.
"How come you all haven settle it where your colleague said that treat it as urgent last day? I sent in on tuesday you know?
"Ya i know. (his tone was just like wanna me to whack him up)"
"So can i get it on Sunday?"
"Sorry, our technician is off on Sunday."
"Then, Monday?"
"I think we will give you a call before you come to collect it."
"Make sure you really call."
5 hours later...............................
"Mr Loh, i think you might be suffering from a hard disk failure. You have to change a new hard disk. We will change one for you 80Gb with RM155."
"Then can i have all my data in the old HDD?"
"We will try to backup your data."
My day was ruined by the news. What can i do? Just accept the fate!!!!!!!
IT WAS CERTIFIED. EVERYTHING GONE..............BYE!!!!!!!!!

Reborn PC
I dont know whether i was affected by the 7habits, or my academic stuff appears to be urgent to me. The first day i was back here Sabah, i kept on searching for a free software all over the net. I sought forums, official website, universities internal link, china websites, all over just to get a free Amos 7 that is applicable. I was soooooooooooo 'hardworking' that can die!!!!!
As the Dr Csl said that 'honesty doesnt pay at all times', but for my case, hard work doesn,t pay for all time. Why i say so? The result of putting efforts in it was my pc infected by viruses. In one night time, my C drive dropped frmo 5 Gb free space to 16kb. I cant open any other programmes as it just kept prompt me that the server is busy, either switch to or retry options available.
I had no choice at that moment but to reformat my system with the hope that the virus can be cleared. After an hour, my pc was ready and drivers were installed. Im attempting to connect to the net but to no avail. My virus protector notified me that i was defeated by another old spyware - keylogger. (wheree it will redirect ur keyboard input.)
Haiz......so what to do? I have no pc or network experts here. The only choice was reformat agn. Since my friend said that this spyware attacked all the drives, i had to backup my D drive as well. I had to bear the pain of deleting some old files. My external hard disc is barely has enough space to store all.
It took me whole day for the installing stuff. (deducting my dinner, exercise, bathing time and so on). The first programme i had installed was the windows live messenger. Thought somebody could accompany throughout the whole process. (thanks to shirley) LOL. At least she did chat with me a while.
Another annoying stuff was that my external HDD has a problem when transferring bulks of files togeder. Just few Gb things, i need more than few hours. I have to transfer it few at a time. It was a boring repeating process. Even the moment im typing this post, i was still in the progress of installing softwares. zzzz.....
Hopefully, my system can last long at least for a semester. Let me pass through this last semester smoothly, without other troubles.......Thanks god.
