Sad to note that, I hardly can feel the Chinese New Year atmosphere this year. Although my house still has the decoration as previous years but yet there still lack of something, something that I could not describe.

CNY eve dinner

However, my family member quarrelled on the eve. Is this a usual thing for a big family? Haiz, let me share the story.
a) Photography
I have an uncle (3rd) who doesn’t talk at all. He did not attend any of our family events, but only come back once a year during cny. To be honest, I din even want him to come back at all but of course not his children. My 4th uncle bought a new camera and during the cny eve dinner, he went around and took lots of photo. Coincidentally my 4th uncle was zooming to the dishes which he was standing just opposite my 3rd uncle. He just banged the table and stopped 4th uncle from taking any more photos. My 4th uncle is someone with bad temper as well and they just screwed each other with all the filthy words. Fortunately my 3rd uncle knew his own temper, and eat inside the house while my 4th uncle stopped by his wife and my other relatives. Haiz!!!!!
b) Parking
Since we have a big family, normally we have too many cars coming back and without ample parking space. However, it was just cny eve where we still have enough parking lots, my big uncle started to arrange all the parking so that we can maximize the space for more cars. He parked his own innova at neighbour house (which have had communicated before), and all other relatives’ car packed at just one corner leaving the front part vacant. Reasoning was to leave it for guests!!! What kind of theory is that? Park your car at neighbour house and reserve for our guests. Does it mean that your neighbour won’t have any guests? If there were guests, they won’t park for long and hence just at roadside will do, why should we reserve 4 slots for them? My uncle even want me to squeeze at the inner side cause I drive a Myvi (in small size). I just shouted to him:
“You don’t ever try to move my car to the corner. If you can find anybody else with higher frequency of driving out, I will park inside. Another option is you will be the jockey here and whenever I want to go out or come back, please remove the car for me.”
He just said nothing but mumbling there by himself, saying all of us no one willing to park inside bla bla bla..
c) TV channel (this is not a quarrel but was an issue)
This year, we brought back the Astro decoder as my relatives all came back and they have no use of this. In addition, my father brought a karaoke set and home theatre system. Hence the youngsters of course will watch Astro and sing karaoke. We have a China satellite as well which only him so keen on their programme. Hence he leave this message beside the TV.

(Translation: “Important – Please reserve some time for somebody who wish to watch China channel. Thank you!! )
WTF man!!

Pre-CNY wedding dinner
I went back to Kampar on 5th Feb, just one week before CNY. Everyone was asking me two questions:
a) Why you go back so early? Another week is CNY already.
b) Are you going back for the whole week stretch?
Here explains why…

Ya I went back for their wedding dinner, besides they ‘hired’ MDBC as the bridegroom’s heng dai(s). To be honest, we do not really know the bridegroom in person, but his brother is one of our MDBC members, so bo bian, just help them.
Myvi as the main car of the parade.

With his sister

Too bad that I forgot to clean my car, I parked my car under a mango tree and the next day all the dirt and stain are so obvious.

Two Kelefe at the wedding dinner. One act cute and dull, another act like a gangster

After the above explanation, here arise another question from others:
- Why would they marry one week before CNY? Are they too eager to give angpao? And please don't forget that first year of marriage, you will have to give double! (but sad to say, i din able to get from them this year)

CEO
Many of us out here would like to grab every opportunity to show off in front of their bosses by hook or by crook. Whenever they have the chance to get close to our boss, they will show everything in him. In some sense, some of them might even 'lick' their bosses' shoes.
I do have several meetings with my CEO, and hopefully he can remember me. However, today was my first time to get into a benz, having the CEO beside me. I was so pressured and i was turned into a silent mode.
To some other strangers or new friends, i will initiate conversation with them and wont dead in silence. However, i can't do the same with my boss. I do not know which topic to start on and i afraid those topics that i raised will show how shallow i am.
My AM (sitting in front) can easily dodge all the pressure since the responsibility will falls on me. Anyway, i did a bad job in this.
Back to the meeting room, again i was left with the only seat beside CEO which makes me even more focus throughout the meeting. I dun even dare to yawn and pretend energetic in front of him. Cham!!
I think i need to tap into more touch points so that i can equipped with more things and can easily start any conversation even to a boss level!! =)
By the way, benz isn't that good at all. haha..

Superstituous
In the past, i rarely believe in the chinese traditional beliefs. I will just obey when i see no harm doing it but having my mom happy with it. For example, before i went in the uni, we went to the temple to have blessing and pray. When the time i was hospitalized, we prayed as well. I just find out that, a simple thing can make my mom happy and relief, why not?
And of course during cny, i will ask my mom that what is my auspicious colour to wear on the first few days of chinese new year. Sometimes this kind of thing you would rather to believe it than not. You won't know what happen if you do not follow, but if something happen you won't know whether this contributes.
And this year, i found out that i'm being more superstitious than ever. Was it because i lose alot in mahjong? Was it because i want to accumulate more wealth this year? Was it because i'm more pressured? I have no idea. Haha.
I've read a pdf saying that the actual first day of 2010, 立春 is on 4th Feb. What you need to do is to wear in red, go to the bank and deposit money into your account and also you have to go to work on this day.
However, i do not have a red shirt, and i checked on another email, knowing that my year of birth can wear another colour which is brown. I wore a brown colour shirt and i was paiseh the whole day to really bank in money. Therefore, i waited till night time when there were less ppl around so that i'm comfortable to deposit money.
The moment i was in the bank, there were another 2 fellows there, and they were wearing red as well. I'm pretty sure that their hand is holding less than RM100 cash. Instantly, i had a thought that they were doing the same thing as me. LOL!!
Ended up, i deposited RM10 into my account just to have a firm belief in this. Wahaha!!!
Besides this, in the morning, my auntie said that at 0648, if you can let an egg stand still on a flat surface, you will have good luck for the year. I really try it out for few minutes but i can't do it. Due to the time constraint, (else i will be stuck in the jam and late to work) i have to let go this 'grand' opportunity. Haha!!
Getting crazy.. lol

Tanjung Sepat - Food Trip
This event was in our planning since last year but we could not find an appropriate time to make it happen with so many of us going together. Finally, we were able to make this happen on Federal Territory day where it is a public holiday for KL people like us. Bingo!!
Venue : Tanjung Sepat
Breakfast time

Driver, Navigator, Organizer

Tea-time, famous ‘mui choi’ pao (even searchable in my GPS)

Need not so happy la… She is so cute like a small kid

Yummy!

The making.

Even the HK 食神visited them

Next station, Ganofarm

And this is fake one.. haha..

Just a bridge

The beach after the tide

Semipro photographer

My artistic masterpiece

A look without durian. Some background: we were looking for durian farm and we were told that it is off season and we can’t find any. Ends up, he showed us his dulan face. Haha)

Our main course for the trip – Seafood meal

Not even order the food, and she wanna eat already

I know his look abit not convincing on the taste of the food. Basically, the salted egg crab is a bit salty. Haha

Anyway, I did find this restaurant is over-rated and I’m quite disappointed that they do not have Lobster. Haiz!!
Fish ball searching

Kilang Kerepek Ubi

Don’t know why they posted this pic: “Ketua Kampung sedang berbincang sesuatu di kilang.” Zzzz

Paparazzi behind!!

I like this in the factory. One to ask you to come, another is the God of Wealth getting all your money. See the different direction of both hands.

Although we can’t have durian when we come, however I noticed a durian farm at the roadside when we were on our way back. Pity this guy coz he doesn’t like durian at all. He was the only one who was damn happy to know that no durian available. Karma time.

The look after durian.

And we headed back after a light dinner. Went for the whole day and we just need to spend RM57.60 each person without taking other merchandize we have bought personally. Quite cheap indeed!! Our next destination will be Broga Hill! Wait for us in March!!
