At this point of time, I recalled a song from Fish Leong - 分手快乐. There is one part of the lyric as below:
"其实爱对了人,情人节每天都过。。。“
(If you love the right person, everyday is valentine day)
This actually says the right thing. I would just wonder why the couple won't understand this 'philosophy'. Perhaps it is a break up song, those in sweet sweet life won't love this kind of song.
This not only applies to valentine day. For others like Christmas or any other festive seasons, why can't the couple just treat as a normal day? Why must they go out to spend alot of money?
On the other hand, those who are still in single status, to be threw with some pathetic eye sight. In fact, I feel so peaceful in these two days staying at home without joining the crowd out there. They feel that I'm so lonely which I do not feel the same. Funny........
I believe that most of the girls who has a boyfriend would expect something from them, but why? Anybody can tell me why?
Peace...............................

Job Street
Due to some unpleasant experience in my team now, I do have the intention of changing my job. Before this, I like the culture of my team and of my company, however the culture seems like changing subsequent to the change of the top management team.
I do not actively search within the local industry as I do not want to start all over again in similar industry. Although through jumping ship, I will only get higher pay and wider experience. However, my current role offers me high exposure to the EXCO team and also my huge human network here.
I just give myself the opportunity of working overseas, or I should say it in this way. I have narrowed down my path only to overseas.
Now, what is the problem?
There is a field for us to select expertise. I hardly find one of them to fit my experience. If relating to finance, all is about corporate finance, M&A which I do not have. If relating to investment, I'm even worse, coz it will come together with banking.
What else fitted? Business Analyst? Haiz.. be it.. Perhaps I'm not that lucky enough to get head hunted.

Interpersonal Skills
Recently I was offered with a regional deal which is of the same team. Well, from the intonation of this starting, I guess most of you know what is the outcome for this.
I did went for an interview for the said offer, however, I failed to secure the position due to my title. 3 interviewers (3 of them also Directors), have the same feedback on me which is lack of communication skills. I was actually competing with another colleague and he is so fortunate to be selected as the candidate.
I do admit that my colleague have an extraordinary communication skills. Even though he has less experience in my team, but he is able to provide suggestions and ideas without solid ground. Given this, he has the win point.
Actually, I'm ok with anyone who are able to get this offer, except him, I really feel imbalance. All the while, I'm the one who do all the ground work to support him. Just because of he has less experience, I have pass all new initiatives projects to him as he can start fresh and from my end, I will just support him because I'm familiar with the reports. With this opportunity he is able to demonstrate himself to external parties.
He always complain that the modeling work is difficult, he is busy, he is tied down, he is assigned with alot of works etc. However, he has the luxurious of time to go smoking, to go chit-chatting, to go home earlier than me!!!
It makes me feel that no matter how strong of my technical knowledge, I won't be able to move up. Lesson learnt - leaders need not to know everything, but to speak and social. The ability to think is damn important.
The complication to this is, I have to absorb all of his work as PD business partner. With the current workload, I already OT for 80% of my working days. I raised this concern to my superior and the respond from her was to ask me re-align the job scope myself. What a pretty answer!!! I can't imagine my life in the coming few months.
Sigh!!

Funny Pic in Prudential
I was attending a staff comm and it was too boring. While hiding from the presentation, we just make fun from it.
I'm just like those 'prostitute' get caught.

Who know what is so special for this pic?

Shape Run 2010
Ehm.. since when was my last public run? It was probably during my Form 3/4 time which was about 9 or 10 years ago. My body weight has been increasing since my form 5 about 48kg to the existing 78kg. What a huge increase. Haiz!
Before this, I have taken a Fitness test, it mentioned that the total weight I have to lose is 8.9kg. Good point to it is, I have all the 'fat' to convert into muscle. I just need to work out more often to have a nice body shape with balance weight.
In line with this, I have participated into the Shape Run 2010 (Fun Run category - 5km). The key motivator for me joining this was the goodie bag. Paying RM30, I can get back items worth RM300. Haha.

I trust for me being in these pictures would be miracle to someone. Don't worry, I will make this more often or at least committed to once a year.. =)

And I have made it!!!

Cheapskate Celcom!!!
During the previous pikom pc fair, my colleague had subscribe to Celcom broadband. In order to close sales, they offered you with lots of freebies, promising you this and that just to convince you to subscribe.
She paid RM98 for the installation fees plus one month subscription fee of RM98 (if I recalled correctly). They promised us that if we were to terminate the contract, we just need to return the modem (in the event of termination occurs within the first year).
She decided to terminate the service and holding the usb modem stick, she went to Celcom HQ.
The thing that I wanna highlight here was, celcom refused to terminate the contract due to we did not bring along with the box. I questioned her that what was in the box that you must need it for termination?
The answer given was really a surprising one. She told me that she need to get all the freebies back before she can do so. I was wondering, the freebies in the box was just a stress ball, a damn ugle USB and warranty card. What the hell is that important to get all these back?
I think she was intended to 'recycle' all the freebies to the next customer. In addition, her attitude when answering my questions was damn fucking annoying. What the hell is the customer service attitude?
If I were the victim, definitely I will lodge a complain to Celcom already. However, my colleague said that, we should not help them to improve. Since we are not going to continue the service with Celcom, just let them be and let them to be dislodged by their competitors.
Cheapskate Celcom!!!!

Iconic Wall Torn Down
Until now, I still can't figure out why is it so attractive to have whole bunch of people standing at the roadside just to watch this historical moment. It is just a wall so?
This fucking event had cause traffic jam near the Pudu area, the t-junction nearby Time Square. I waited for 3 traffic lights before i can cross the junction. Can you imagine that a traffic light can just allow one car to pass through? And its like driving zig zag to cross. What the hell!!!
If you want to tear down the wall, just do it silently at midnight.. WTF!!!

Partial Singaporean
Recently, I found out myself had gradually transformed into a Singaporean. Why would I say so? What are the most general things that the public will frame on Singaporeans? Kiasi, Kiasu, Complain Complain..
Kiasi and Kiasu should be the nature of every human being. However, when it comes to complain, most of the Malaysian will just keep quiet and just let it be. In such a case how can Malaysia has the improvement? I would agree that to certain extent, complaints do work to improve a service, a product or whatever related.
In just half a year, I have formally lodged 3 complaints to 3 different organizations. The first one was to SCB where the solution provided was to reverse all interest incurred. The second was to KTMB and after few emails ding dong ding dong, they agreed to pay ticket refund while there will be disciplinary actions taken towards the officer in charge who dealt directly with me.
Now the third one was to DHL for their poor delivery services and also again re their professionalism. Hopefully I will get a satisfactory reply from them.
Somehow I need to position myself as such a noble person to improve Malaysia. Wakaka!!!

Complaint Epi 2 - KTMB
To whom it may concern,
I would like to lodge a complaint on behalf of my friend, regarding services provided by the KTM.
He has bought a ticket on Saturday 22nd May 2010, time 2205, from Kepong Central to Kampar. We have reached the station by 2200 and there was no train at the platform. We have checked on the platform display, and it was showing Rawang with the estimated arriving time. Since this was the first time boarding inter-city train, we did not know which train is the right one. Hence, we have had double confirmed with the ticket counter representatives that the train heading towards Ipoh will have a display of Ipoh.
Without any doubts, we were waiting there for half an hour before the very first train arrived. This was the train that heading towards Rawang which has been delayed for at least 20 minutes from the original scheduled time. We did not go on board and waiting for the next train.
The next train was still having Rawang at the display and therefore we did not bother to go on board as we were pretty much assured by the words from the representative. However, we have waited there until 2315, when there was nobody around, counters were all closed, no more passengers, but only the security guards. My friend was stranded at the station helplessly.
At the end, he had no choice but to call for help from his parents at the station alone without any aid from KTM services. His parents came all the way down to KL, to pick up their son at wee hours.
First Complaint: Shouldn’t be someone to on duty or any person in charge to handle all enquiries before the last train? Office closed at 2200 and the last train was 0000. There should have someone on duty to handle emergency cases. This showed how irresponsive of KTM services.
Second Complaint: Why there wasn’t any announcement re the arrival time for the respective train (or delay if any)?
On the following day, which is today (23rd May 2010, Sunday), we approached the officer in charge who based at Kepong station. We have requested the train schedule yesterday. Sadly to note, I was told that there was no record about arrival time of the train at the corresponding train station. The answers given were nonsense and he could not assured me that the train did pass through Kepong Central station last night. He just told me that, supposedly yes. As an officer in charge, was this the quality service provided and also the effective management system? You could not even convince your customers. Officer in charge: Ali, staff ID: 008714
Third Complaint: Ineffective schedule management, no proper log for train arrival, and no professionalism in the PIC
Ali has an assistant, Roslan who threw out even more nonsense. He had questioned me that, we should be able to distinguish the difference between normal commuter and also inter-city commuter. And from the beginning, I have told them that this was our first time and can’t you expect each and every each of the passengers were not their first time? He had assumed the responsibilities on us to find out which train to board. Worse still, he said that we should go to the other passengers to enquire which train is heading towards Ipoh. Yes, I know this should be one of the way, but is this the proper way for all customers? Should the responsibilities fall back on KTM provider instead of the customers themselves?
Forth Complaint: There was no proper communication channel to the passengers on the details for each train.
I am looking forward to a satisfactory reply from KTM, and at least, an apologize and ticket refund from KTM. I hope I would receive a reply in 3 working days else I will escalate this to the consumers association or other authorities.
