Hospital Fatimah
Time: 1430
Date: 07/12/08
Venue:Hospital Fatimah
As it is a long weekend with Monday is a public holiday, i decided to back hometown on Friday night. I reached my house at about 12 something and i was told beforehand that my father was suffering from fever and joint pain. He cant even walk by himself and he was with no energy.
Early in the next morning, my mom called me up and my father's condition was seem to be worsen and my uncle decided to send him to Ipoh hospital. I just had a quick refresh and drove all the way to Ipoh and admitted as an emergency case.
At the same time, my mother was complaining for hand pain. Both of them fell sick at the same time, and i felt that i really hv nothing much to help them. They are old and their mechanics are getting worse and worse along with time. This was one of my reason for not going Singapore so far to work. If all of my siblings including me working in Singapore, we wont be able to reach my parents at once in case of something happen. For now, at least (worst come to worst) i can go back to my hometown every weekend.
During the time my mother went back to kampar to pack some things to stay overnight here, she said that she was cold and feeling joint pain as well. Similar symptoms with my dad and similar to denggi as well. I was quite worry at that time. What should i do if both of them getting the same disease? I really cant tear myself apart to two pieces for them.
Fortunately, my mom's case was not denggi and at night, my father's dr came to tell us that he was neither denggi / chikungunya. He just had a normal fever that lead to arthritis. He further told us that both my parents would be able to go overseas on Thursday but just that my father might be feeling very tired during the trip.
Today, i went Ipoh in the morning, buying my mom her breakfast and to take turns to take care of my dad. I knew my mom was tired staying overnight here accompanying my dad. Besides, i support my dad for bathing.
At lunch time, i passed the food for him, and suddenly i heard like he was breathing hard and coughing while eating. I attended to him and found him crying. I have no idea why he was crying suddenly. Everything was just normal and he just woke up from sleeping.
Now, he slept again, and i just sitting beside him looking at him suffering for the pain.
