BBQ on August

There are 4 housemates whose birthdays fall on august. Hence, a BBQ was held to celebrate it. The options available for the food are more or less the same as previous time.

Kudat III

It’s the time for us to take a rest. Since from secondary school, I had the chance of living in hotels but not for those 5 stars. There are no much difference as they are available at everywhere. Now im at Kudat, definitely hotel is out of my choices. We chose Rungus Longhouse. – Bavanggazo Rungus Longhouse.





This was our guide during our stay in longhouse. He is a humorous guy. He always talk something so different that make us laugh. He described toilet as “pejabat pos”. There are many funny things of him which I unable to share here.



This pic was taken when we were on the way back as he was not around. Luckily we met him at half way (there is only one way out or enter), we just stopped him and requested for a photo session. The signboard behind us was just a background which is not related to us. LOL

Here is where we live and there is mosquito-net provided.





I just felt like im the prince in ancient times which is greatly protected. LOL.



We just ate at this bamboo table. Everything inside is made of bamboo but it is quite firm.

For the first 2 pictures, of course you all can see what is it. The third picture im not very sure coz I forgot the name. The last two were cooked by using santan. I never thought that I will be eating such a vege. The first pic is the banana flower which we saw the red one of banana tree. The second is bamboo shoot. Its really hard for me to eat it. I wondered why rungus people love to cook with santan. All of us cant bear with it and just able to force ourselves to finish half. Even the rice was cooked by santan!!!! Haihz!!

At night, there was a cultural performance show just for 4 of us. We were the only guest for that particular night. Performers were even more than us. The first one was the traditional dance and I had joined it.



HEhE im danced so nice and compare to this ‘coward’!! LOL.. She scared the bamboo might chopped her leg!!



Next was the performance of an old lady blowing a ‘seruling’ with her nose.

The most impressed in the longhouse is their technique on making the necklace with beads and so on. This is how they make the cloth.

Kudat Part II

Lets have a look on my third destination. It is named Pantai Pak Pak. There is nothing much I can explain on it except pictures…. AS we reached there too early, we have nowhere to go and just go to the tip of borneo earlier then planned hoping that there will be any special place we should visit. The result was this beach which is out of expectation.









We arrived at The Tip of Borneo around 4pm but the sunset time is around 6.30pm. Why we choose to wait instead of going round? The road to the tip is rocky and uneven. You are not able to bear the journey for 4 times in a day except you owned a four wheel drive.







So you can see my lazy style!!!!! haihz!!



Our main focus was the sunset view there. It was so beautiful and clear. We can view thoroughly from the sky and vanish at the horizontal line of the sea.









The wind is so strong there and even can blow me away if I not be aware of it. Look at their hairs….
