Production of Used Papers
As all of us know, we do use draft papers when working something. In office, definitely we have many used papers which can be recycled as draft papers for daily use. Same for me, i get a pile of used papers from my colleague to ease my job.
The point that i want to bring out in this post is, i feel abit 'paiseh'. Why? It is because of where every people they are reducing their draft papers on the desk along with their daily usage, but me, the other way round, increasing the thickness of the pile of papers. They are getting new used papers from photostat machine, but i produce mroe n more used papers by the machine. zzzzzz
Recently, my immediate supervisor is asking me to type official letters to other organizations and translations from malay to english to the CEO.(he is a white guy). The first moment that i received the task, i thought:"OMG, asking to me draft a letter means expose my own weakness to my 'boss?" (due to my poor english).
Of course, it would be perfect for the first time, everything went wrong on my first draft as i really dunno bout the format and the proper way to delivere the message. I think, except the address and spelling, the whole contents were editted by my 'boss'.
Words are really so meaningful as different combinations of words can produce different message. Although i understand the whole letter, but i never think of using such sentence. For example, im writing a letter to ask ppl to leave the building as the property was sold.
i wrote: we wish to request u to leave the premise within 24 hours from the date of this letter.
editted: we would like to seek your help to obtain vacant possession of the said premise within 24 hours receipt of this letter.
Due to all these kind of stuffs, i printed many 'yuin wong' papers. Haiz....when can i start to 'reduce' these used papers on my desk? Hopefully it wont be at an increasing rate....haiz..

Another list of facts!!!
There are lots of comments on my previous blog about the bringing the fuel price down. Some agree, some dont. Some agreed that this a normal phenomenon due to the scarcity. Ok, now lets see about another analysis which combines all facts of other countries price of oil, profit earned, and the concept of subsidy.
WHAT IS NEVER MENTIONED IN Mainstream Media like NST/TheStar/Utusan/BH are these facts....
Malaysian PerCapita Income USD 5000
VS
Singaporean PerCapita Income USD 25000
Further The Star made a comparison of prices in Thailand , Singapore and Indonesia .
For Thailand it is quoted at RM3.90/liter, however are they aware that in Thailand new cars are cheaper than Malaysia by RM10,000? They pay only one life time for their driving license? No renewal fee after that? Also that goes for road tax as well? And do TheStar also aware that you can drive all the way from Hadtyai to Bangkok on a six lane highway without paying any Tolls ??!!
Whereas here in Malaysia you have to pay yearly renewal for road tax , driving license and TOLLS, TOLLS, TOLLS!!!
For Singapore how can you quote RM 5.20 ? Please quote in Singapore Dollars because they are earning in Sing Dollars. You might as well say Europeans are paying RM10/liter. RM5.20/liter = Sing $ 2.20/liter, still cheaper than Malaysia in view of fact that Singapore is not a crude oil exporter. Are you saying that you fill up petrol in Singapore by paying Ringgit?
In economy, dollar to dollar must be compared as apple to apple. Not comparing like durian in M'sia is much cheaper than durian in Japan !! Of course-lah, Japan is not durian producer!!! Comparing Malaysian durian with Thailand durian make more sense!!
For Indonesia we might say is cheaper there at RM2.07/liter but compare that to their level of income!
Now, let us compare the price with OIL PRODUCING countries:
UAE – RM1.19/litre
Eygpt – RM1.03/litre
Bahrain – RM0.87/litre
Qatar – RM0.68/litre
Kuwait – RM0.67/litre
Saudi Arabia – RM0.38/litre
Iran – RM0.35/litre
Nigeria – RM0.32/litre
Turkmenistan – RM0.25/litre
Venezuela – RM0.16/litre
MALAYSIA – RM2.70/litre
RM 2.70!!! Individual perspective:
As of last month a Toyota Vios would 'cause a damage' of about RM 89,000.
In the international market, a Toyota Vios is about USD 19,000
USD 19,000 = RM 62,700 (using the indicative rates of USD 1 = RM 3.30)
That makes Malaysian Vios owners pay an extra RM 26,300.
This RM 26,300 should be cost of operations, profit and tax because the transportation costs have been factored in to the USD 19,000.
RM 26,300/ RM625 petrol rebate per year translates to a Vios being used for 42.08 years.
I do understand that the RM 625 is a rebate given by the government, but it also means that one has to use the Vios for 42.08 years just to make back the amount paid in taxes for the usage of a foreign car. Would anyone use any kind of car for that long?
Now with these numbers in front of us, does the subsidy sound like a subsidy or does it sound like a penalty? This just seems to be a heavy increment in our daily cost of living as we are not only charged with high car taxes but also with a drastic increase in fuel price.
With all the numbers listed out, I urge all Malaysians to join me in analyzing the situation further.
Car taxation is government profit, fuel sales is Petronas' (GLC) profit which also translates into government profit. The government may ridicule us Malaysians by saying look at the world market and fuel price world wide. Please, we are Malaysians, we fought of the British, had a international port in the early centuries (Malacca), home to a racially mixed nation and WE ARE NOT STUPID!!!
We know the international rates are above the USD 130/barrel. We understand the fact that the fuel prices are increasing worldwide and we also know that major scientist are still contradicting on why this phenomenon is happening. Some blame Bush and his plunders around the world and some blame climate change and there are others which say petroleum 'wells' are getting scarce.
Again we go back to numbers to be more straight fwd
1 barrel = 159 liters x RM2.70/liter = RM 429 or USD 134
On 1 hand, we are paying the full cost of 1 barrel of crude oil with RM2.70 per liter but on the other hand the crude oil only produces 46% of fuel.
Msia sells crude oil per barrel at USD130 buys back Fuel per barrel at USD134. And not forgetting, every barrel of fuel is produced with 2 barrels of crude oil.
1 barrel crude oil = produce 46% fuel (or half of crude oil), therefore
2 barrel crude oil = approximately 1 barrel fuel
In other words, each time we sell 2 barrels of crude oil, equivalently we will buy back 1 barrel of fuel.
Financially,
Malaysia sell 2 barrel crude oil @ USD 130/barrel = USD 260 = RM 858
then, Malaysia will buy back fuel @ USD 134/barrel = RM 442/barrel
Thus, Malaysia earn net extra USD 126 = RM 416 for each 2 barrel of crude sold/exported vs imported 1 barrel of fuel !!!
(USD 260-134 = USD 126 = RM416)
So where this extra USD 126/barrel income is channeled to by Malaysian Govt?????????
Another analysis:
1 barrel crude oil = 159 liters.
46-47% of a barrel of crude oil = fuel that we use in our vehicles.
46% of 159 = 73.14 liters.
@ RM 2.70/liter x 73.14 liter = RM197.48 of fuel per barrel of crude oil. This is only 46% of the barrel, mind you. Using RM 3.30 = USD 1, we get that a barrel of crude oil produces USD 59.84 worth of petrol fuel (46% of 1barrel).
USD 59.84 of USD 130/barrel turns out to be 46% of a barrel as well.
Another 54% = bitumen, kerosene, and natural gases and so many more.
And this makes a balance of USD 70.16 that has not been accounted for.
So this is where I got curious. Where is the subsidy if we are paying 46% of the price of a barrel of crude oil when the production of petrol/barrel of crude oil is still only 46%?
In actual fact, we still pay for this as they are charged in the forms of fuel surcharge by airlines and road taxes for the building of road (because they use the tar/bitumen) and many more excuse charging us but let us just leave all that out of our calculations.
As far as I know, only the politicians who live in Putra jaya and come for their Parliament meetings in Kuala Lumpur (approximately 60+ km) are the ones to gain as they claim their fuel and toll charges from the money of the RAKYAT's TAX.
It is so disappointing to see this happen time and time again to the Malaysian public, where they are deceived by the propaganda held by the politicians and the controls they have over the press.
Which stupid idiot economist equates rebates for rich or poor with the cc of the vehicles? An average office clerk may own a second hand 1300cc proton Iswara costing $7,000 (rebate = $625) while the Datuk's children can own a fleet of 10 new cars of BMW, Audi and Volvo all less than 2000cc costing $2 millions and get a total rebate of $625 x 10 = $6,250! Wow what kind of economists we are keeping in Malaysia ...wonder which phD certificate that they bought from...
Misleading concept of Subsidy:
The word "subsidy" has been brandished by the BN government as if it has so generously helped the rakyat and in doing so incurred losses. This simple example will help to explain the fallacy:
Example:
Ahmad is a fisherman. He sells a fish to you at $10 which is below the market value of $15. Let's assume that he caught the fish from the abundance of the sea at little or no cost. Ahmad claims that since the market value of the fish is $15 and he sold you the fish for $10, he had subsidised you $5 and therefore made a loss of $5.
Question : Did Ahmad actually make a profit of $10 or loss of $5 which he claimed is the subsidy?
Answer:
Ahmad makes a profit of $10 which is the difference of the selling price ($10) minus the cost price ($0 since the fish was caught from the abundance of the sea). There is no subsidy as claimed by Ahmad.
The BN government claims that it is a subsidy because the oil is kept and treated as somebody else's property (you know who). By right, the oil belongs to all citizens of the country and the government is a trustee for the citizens. So as in the above simple example, the BN government cannot claim that it has subsidised the citizen!

Fuel related matters..

Batman also haven to 'resize' his car, so that it wont be costly when driving to safe the world..zzz
Another poster that i found funny was their slogan, (the poster i mistakenly deleted)
Normal saying: Drink , Dun drive!!! (meaning: if u drink alcohol, never drive coz isdangerous)
Now: Drink, Dun drive!!!! (meaning: 1 liter of alcohol is much cheaper than 1 liter of fuel, hence drink more, dun drive...)
Sooooo gao xiu!!!!!

Malaysianized Mandarin
As we are in our own country, we are speaking the same language with same style same slang, we ady "Malaysianized" the language that we use. Lets work in bringing the fuel price down!!!!
> THIS IS NOT THE 'DON'T BUY' PETROL FOR ONE DAY, BUT IT WILL SHOW YOU

This time I’m going to introduce a restaurant which I never tried before coz im not suitable for the restaurant. Im not match with the mood of the restaurant. Why I say so? There is one Chinese saying that: “人不怕生坏命,最怕改坏名。”
Lets see what is the name of this restaurant.
(Location: A housing area near HSBC bank)
So if you are someone that cant sit still for long time, cant survive without talking and laughing, then you should not go for the this restaurant. I really cant understand how come the owner can apply such funny funny name. zzz.

Dont buy car ady......
These few days, the topic and the news title were surrounding the issue of dramatic hike increase of the fuel. Every people are being burdensome by this sudden high increment. Although im not an owner of a car, however, I can feel the pain due to this ‘fxxking’ increment.
As the cost of living in Msia is getting higher and higher, public hardly can afford to the rising. It is definitely will have chain reaction from this fuel price increment, but the government said that the public cannot increase their prices with the excuse of fuel price increased. However for large corporation, such as TNB, they can raise their price. Other networks such as the bus system, the flight service, taxi services and so on, how are them going to live?
Inevitably, the resources of petrol is going to a lower level, the cost for grinding of coz hiking for going deeper under the earth, however, price increment should go by stages and not by just one go. Our government is very ‘smart’ enough to compare with other non-oil-producing country. Why not they compare with Brunei and Arab? No matter how the oil price flow in the market, be it increase or decrease, as an oil producing country, we just absorbed the negative impact and reflect it to the people. It’s so sarcastic!!! We can imagine how well the management team is?
Our minister said that they will monitor other businesses to ensure that there are no people exploit the excuse of price increase in raising their selling price. However, can they really do so and go into every corner, every single shop to ‘audit’? It will just consume much more human power and our paid tax income!!
Another said that, it might be a temporarily condition until an effective fuel subsidy management system is developed. It might be having a cut in future, but will u believe in them? Once increased, there is no turning point, those are just words to cheat the public. If u r making a profit with this figure, will u reduce it for human sake? No kidding man!!!!
When can our country improve? When can it be a well-developed country? When the Wawasan 2020 being accomplished? With all the stupid policies, and stupid management team, we will soon being kicked off from developing country list as we are remaining at the same situation after so many years with lots of profitable raw materials not being nicely managed. There are lots of profitable income that Msia can earn, such as the richness of raw materials, the transportation network, but how come they still encountering a deficit problem? ???????? Lets see what the new government can do for us……
Recently, I don’t know am I being affected by my working environment or is my self-interest. Last weeks, I always playing around figures such as the inflation rate, GDP, all kind of comparisons and interpretation. There are some so call country fact base slides and it arose my interest in such context. Previously, when the news talking about economic site, the rate, the share market, I will definitely turn away and get back to my own thing. But, now I pay attention in their announcement of inflation rate and so on, I will check the stock price, the KLCI, since all these figures are useful in setting a benchmark for measuring the company performance. Although, I still not so familiar with how the system goes, but at least I will learn about it.

After 1 week training
Started work for one week in Prudential, wake so early in the morning around 6.30 but i still maintain with my previous sleeping time, after 12am. You all must be wondering, how come i still can maintain such life for working. I shud be damn slpy and cant work at all during office hour. Indeed, i really too sleepy and when im reading slides, i nearly fell aslp.
First day, i was given a laptop without any instructions. Me, so chicky, pretend to be very busy and very 'aggressive' reading all the slides and file available in the pc. I read many files with my eyes half closed, and until lunch time, my AM asking me that what am i doing. I said nothing. She curiously asked me:" You are not reading some specified things?" I said nope. She told me that i definitely cant understand what is in the file and it is useless to read all those stuffs as thy were over.
Hence, she was giving me another task to do but still reading. She passed me a new folder where it contains all the documents on the project i hav to follow up in future. She said i would be involved in this project for my training. I was lightened up and thought it must be something interesting. Indeed, it was sumthg quite new and i did wish to learn bout it. I was glad that i had sumthg to do at last.
Evening time, i was assigned a task which was drawing chart by using excel. Since this was other department task, she just asked me voluntarily help her friend who were from other dept. I said ok fine... Its ok with me. After i finished, i have to teach the girl at tomorrow morning. AM teased me that, im so 'powderful' that a trainee can teach an old staff here. zzZZzzZzZzzz
However, i did found that excel can really draw a lot things and all were very basic things which i should have know it. The only difference is that they are using it in a professional way, make it looks more 'canggih' in terms of presentable ways. I was so contented that i can produced such a nice chart in powerpoint as well. Learned some of the presentable skills that equipped me in future.
During my free times after done with my chart and slides, i was so free to surf net. However most of the websites were blocked for security purpose. The only email i can access is hotmail but i cant reply or send mail out. So damn fark!!!! Being paiseh on doing other things when others are damn busy with their stuff, i read newspaper. Its common and shud b normal for everyone. However, i no viewing those nation affairs but business news. At least others would think that i was so independent that i will learned about the trend whenever i free. In face, i was just so stupid enough knowing nothing in the industry.
During the gathering with my coursemates, they told me their 'philosophy' that learned during their first week of training. They said that as an intern, never do things fast as you will be very free after finishing the task assigned and i just found that its pretty true. However, i cant make it as whenever i was given a task, i will get stress and will try finish it not on the time, but by the time.
Haiz, 8.39pm (sunday), 12 more hours, i will back to the life of working again, and i start getting boring of this life. I dont want to work, can i? Or can i start work at 10am? haha, very sleepy leh......zzZZzzZzZ
